Offered in this auction is another extra fine example straight from my personal collection of watches offered to new homes: a superb condition, extra rare, EURO-ONLY RELEASE, Swiss Made Hamilton Model 60007-4 presenting wild mid century atomic design. I purchased this watch during the height of my collecting over 20 years ago. It since has remained in my collection, going unworn by any wrist. Released in the early 1960s, this Swiss Made Model 60007-4 is an extreme rarity. Strictly released in Europe and never seeing American storefronts, this highly coveted model is noteworthy for the asymmetrical fin-style case and lugs that harken back to atomic, space age mid century modern design. The yellow gold plated top and stainless steel case are in very good condition. There are no major scratches, gouges or wear to the top, the back has some light scuffing that could be polished, but I always prefer original condition. The asymmetrical case's extended fin lugs are awesome on the wrist. The crown is original but not signed. Under the clear asymmetrical acrylic crystal is an excellent original, matte brushed finish, light champagne dial with applied and printed hour indices. It shows shockingly little age for its over 60 years of age. The original matching hands are perfect, too. Together, they well represent the era it was designed. The Swiss Made, 17-jewels manual wind Caliber 60 movement sets and operates well. I appears to keep good timing under visual observation, but has not seen a timegrapher or a rebuild during my ownership. Included is an authentic brown lizard strap made in the USA by Hamilton and hallmarked with the company's logo on the reverse side. The buckle is a gold filled original also hallmarked "Hamilton" on the reverse side. Movement: Swiss Made, 17-jewels manual wind Caliber 60 movement sets and operates well.
